A while back, I saw a few posts in blogland where bloggers referred to dreams they had had about blogging. I felt immediately put out that I hadn't managed to join this club, but ...
Ta dah. Now I have.
For last night I had a dream about blogging. Sadly, I can't remember what it was all about. All I can remember was an instruction from blog HQ that, to save space, everyone had to delete the 'friends' that weren't friends; and I woke up at the point where I was sadly contemplating just three friend on my friends' list.
What was all that about? Just my luck, having an obscure dream like that - no racy bits to report; no-one ran away with another blogger to set up home in a blog commune or turned up at a blog meet looking like their avatar (which would have been a bit of a disaster for the rare blogger who uses a real photo of themself).
But it did make me wonder what blogland would look like if everyone deleted the friends they never read or never heard from. It might make it easier to find active blogs instead of the increasing number of abandoned ones.

interesting thought. i did prune my friends list to more manageable proportions without apparently reducing the number of visitors i get.
